The Summer Undergraduate Program in Biomedical Ethics Research provides students with a mentored research experience that assists them in preparing for careers in healthcare, science, law, or bioethics. Each student will be placed with a faculty mentor to work on a particular ethics research project for approximately 10 weeks over the summer (starting late May or early June). In addition to conducting mentored research, students participate in a robust ethics education curriculum. Students will also have the opportunity to shadow physicians in nearly every area of the clinic, observe clinical ethics consultations, and collaborate with other health care professionals depending on areas of interest.
