Study Coordinator
The Laboratory of Dr. Park-Min (website: is seeking a part-time/fulltime
study coordinator for the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. The study
coordinator will assist with the execution of clinical research trials and will be responsible
for the collection, compilation, and documentation of research data, ensuring
compliance and accurate adherence to research protocols and the overall practice of
clinical trials. The study coordinator will process samples and analyze data. These
positions provide opportunities to develop independent projects and obtain training and
experience relevant for graduate, dental, or medical school. Positions are available
beginning May 2021.


• Coordination of research projects under faculty supervision
• Screening patients for eligibility in clinical trials; recruiting and enrolling eligible
patients in studies; reviewing patient history and recording appropriate pre-study
laboratory data; obtaining laboratory blood work from patients and arranging
other necessary testing; processing, storing, and shipping specimens; assisting in
informed consent of patients in clinical trials; following up with study patients.

Minimum job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Good communication skills
• Proficient use of technology (e.g., Microsoft Office)
