The Krishna Kumar Lab is seeking a Research Technician to join our team. Our lab focuses on characterizing G-protein-coupled receptor structure, signaling, function, and ligand discovery to drive breakthroughs in drug development.
About the Role
As a Research Technician, you will
- Work independently and collaboratively to support the lab’s science and potentially contribute to publications
- Perform molecular biology techniques and protein purification
- Perform biophysical and pharmacological assays
- Maintain detailed records and analyze data
- Manage lab inventory, order supplies, and help ensure smooth lab operations
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming lab atmosphere
Who Should Apply?
Desired Qualifications
- Interest in pioneering GPCR research and making an impact in drug discovery
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Previous wet lab experience especially in related techniques or areas
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Ability to learn new techniques and adapt to challenges and setbacks
- 2+ year commitment to facilitate transfer of technical knowledge within the lab
