Research Assistant Position – Weill Cornell Medical School (New York, NY)

Are you a newly-graduated B.S. student in a science subject, who is wanting to take a couple of years off before going to graduate school for your MD, PhD or MD PhD? Do you consider yourself to have a strong work ethic, are efficient, have good communication skills, and are an organized and accurate worker? We are looking for someone with independent research experience in a research laboratory, ideally familiar with Molecular Biology techniques, such as PCR and electrophoresis. The remainder of your time will be spent performing bench research with human tissue culture cells and / or budding yeast, with opportunities to have independent projects as your skills progress. You will be working in an interactive and friendly basic research lab ran by Dr. Jessica Tyler, making new discoveries about epigenetic regulation of genome stability and aging.
