My name is Joseph Welsh and I am reaching out to you on behalf of the Department of Practice Enhancement, Emergency and Hospitalist Services, at RWJ Barnabas Health. 

We currently employ over 275 medical scribes at 12 Emergency Department and Hospitalist sites in New Jersey and I am reaching out to share information with you about the scribe positions that we have available. 

Our scribes are hard-working, focused, and reliable individuals who work in fast-paced environments requiring high level attention to detail.  The vast majority of our applicants are prospective medical school, PA school, MHA and nursing school students.  We are looking to hire your students at Princeton University who are looking to work in a healthcare setting, develop valuable skills, and gain direct experience working with clinicians.      

Our department is hiring now for current open positions and positions to start Summer 2022.  We offer full-time, part-time, and per diem positions depending on each site's need. 

General Requirements

• high school diploma
• completion of Biology/Science coursework at the undergraduate level
• work experience in a direct patient care clinical setting may be considered in lieu of Biology/Science coursework
• work, volunteer, or shadowing experience in the healthcare field
• experience in a direct patient care environment preferred (e.g. medical scribe, clinical technician in a hospital, medical assistant in a doctor's office, EMT)
• a responsible and mature individual with a passion for medicine!
