This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate interested in a career as a healthcare professional. A busy and growing dermatology practice is looking for a medical assistant to assist our physicians in a clinical setting. This position requires strong attention to detail, an eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A one-year commitment is required.
About This Position
This is an opportunity to join a Princeton ’08 alum and her associates at one of the top dermatology private practices in the Washington, DC area. This position offers unparalleled clinical experience for a new graduate. You will be immersed in the medical field of dermatology, interacting directly with patients and physicians to:
- Take patient histories and document clinical assessments, teaching you a vast array of medical nomenclature
- Participate in patient care following their appointment, by assisting in prescription drug access, teaching you the “behind the scenes” work required to navigate the healthcare system
- Assist in various dermatologic procedures, such as surgical excisions and cosmetic procedures
This role is a hands-on, fast-paced and an exciting experience in a friendly and vibrant work environment, where you will gain valuable clinical knowledge prior to entering any health care profession.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a medical assistant, however we are willing to train the right candidate. This is a full-time position. Practice locations include Silver Spring and Rockville, MD. Excellent benefits with a negotiable salary.
