Full-Time Clinical Research Coordinator for Dr. Joseph Lane

Job Description

The Metabolic Bone Disease Service at the Hospital for Special Surgery and New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell is looking for an outstanding Clinical Research Coordinator who will provide research, clinical, and administrative support for the office of Dr. Joseph Lane. The CRC will be an integral part of our team, participating in all components of each project. This is a full-time, salaried position beginning June 2021.

Research responsibilities: Under general supervision, assist the clinical research team in recruitment, data collection and analysis, performing protocol related interventions, scheduling follow-ups, managing REDCap databases, presenting at conferences, and training staff from other departments on protocol procedures. Additional responsibilities include managing essential regulatory documents, submitting all necessary documents to the IRB, and facilitating research meetings.

Clinical responsibilities: Under general direction, assist Dr. Lane in clinic while seeing patients by taking their history and acting as a scribe during appointments; escorting patients to radiology, among other clinical duties.

Minimum qualifications/requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a science or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of academic and/or work experience in the field of research
  • Desire to pursue a future career in medicine and/or research
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • 1-year minimum commitment
