COVID19 / Public Health Research Assistant (remote)

Ben Jacobson '19 shares the following:

I have spent the past year working as a research assistant for Dr. Ashish Jha, the incoming dean of the Brown School of Public Health. Dr. Jha leads a team of physician-researchers at Harvard and Brown who focus on research into healthcare policy and healthcare delivery. Over the past few months our team has been deeply involved in COVID-19 research efforts and our work has been featured in the NYTimes, NPR, and major journals. Dr. Jha is looking for an additional research assistant to help the team with COVID and other public health research. This position gives incredible opportunities to learn and contribute straight out of college. In my first year since graduating, I have co-authored papers, spoken to reporters, and even joined a call with members of the White House Coronavirus Taskforce. Any experience in public health/health policy or with R programming would be ideal, but most important is a desire to learn and an interest in getting involved with COVID research.

Thanks,
Ben Jacobson ‘19
