Academic Fellowships
Work with the Office of Fellowship Advising to secure funds to pursue postgraduate academic and research endeavors. To make an advising appointment, follow instructions on the OIP website.

Service-Oriented Programs
- The Princeton AlumniCorps Project 55 Fellowship Program provides recent Princeton graduates with formative experiences working in the public interest. While some fellowship placements are directly clinical, all of the placements will provide fellows with a greater awareness of critical social issues, and an opportunity to develop life and leadership skills while acting in the service of others.
- The Princeton ReachOut 56-81-06 Fellowship allows Princeton seniors to implement year-long social change oriented projects.
- Princeton In... Fellowships Abroad are available to students from any undergraduate institution, but often place Princeton alums in their diverse sites, some with a health emphasis:
- AmeriCorps is a federal agency that connects individuals with service opportunities. Use Find Your Fit to explore relevant opportunities.
- National HealthCorps is an AmeriCorps program that promotes health care for America’s underserved, while developing tomorrow’s health care workforce. To apply for National HealthCorps AmeriCorps program, create an account, search opportunities and submit an application to any AmeriCorps programs.
- MedServe: an AmeriCorps program that places fellows in primary care clinics in North Carolina.
- Project Horseshoe Farm: a community health program working with vulnerable communities in Alabama.
Basic Science & Translational Research
- National Institues of Health (NIH) Post-baccalaureate Intramural Training Awards (IRTA) support 1-2 year research placements for aspiring health professionals.
- NIH Postbac Research Education Programs are NIH-funded opportunities at numerous universities increase the diversity of students pursuing research.
- Principal investigators frequently reach out to HPA and ask us to share opportunities on our postgrad job board.
Clinical Research
- Penn Med Harrison Scholars Program introduces recent graduates to clinical surgical research.
- UCSF Breast Care Center Premedical Internship: a highly competitive program which offers recent college graduates the opportunity to gain 1-2 years of experience contributing to progress in basic science, clinical research, and patient care.
Full-time Clinical & Community Health Opportunities
- Cap Year: startup that provides a job board advertising one- to two-year glide year positions.
- Lawndale Christian Health Center Internships: many of our alums have enjoyed working at this faith-based health center in the Chicagoland area.
