Princeton Alum Seeking Students to Work in Lung Biology Lab at Weill Cornell (New York, NY)

Princeton Alum (’04) seeking motivated candidates to work in pulmonary biology lab at Weill Cornell Medicine in NYC. Candidates will learn and master multiple techniques including genotyping of mice, mouse husbandry and colony management, quantitative PCR, processing of tissue samples, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, etc. Some lab managerial tasks will also be included in the responsibilities of this position. Basic science bench experience is preferred, though experience with mice is not required. The ideal candidate for this position is looking to gain experience in how to design and carry through experiments from start to finish, how to present data thoughtfully, and is looking get deeply involved in a scientific project that would lead to publication. Candidates should be able to commit to the position for at least one-year. Would an ideal opportunity for a glide year prior to MD/PhD, MD, or PhD programs.
