Volunteer: Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad (Princeton, NJ)

Jan. 7, 2022

Are you looking for a way to serve the Princeton community? Are you hoping to gain some clinical experience?

The Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad is actively recruiting new volunteers for this upcoming recruitment cycle!

PFARS is an EMS agency that responds to 911 calls within the Princeton area. We act as the first point of care during medical emergencies and provide both life-saving care and emotional support to our patients. Volunteering with PFARS is a great way to give back to the Princeton community and gain experience working in emergency medicine. Many University students serve as volunteers for the squad!

The PFARS recruit class will meet every Wednesday from 7-10 PM starting from February 1, 2022 – April 13, 2022. Applicant interviews will be from January 22-23 over Zoom. Please consider these time commitments and be

sure you are available during these times before applying. You do not have to be a certified EMT to apply.

The application deadline is January 12, 2022. You can apply here, or by visiting our website. Keep in mind that our application requires three references. Remember, you do not need to have an EMT certification or prior experience to apply—anyone interested in serving their community and emergency medicine is invited to apply!

If you have any questions about the process, please feel free to contact Allison Chou (achou@princeton.edu, 9083004333) and Cristina Maldacena (cmaldacena@princeton.edu, 6099330691)

Hope you are all staying warm and safe!
