Ping Pong Parkinson Princeton Chapter volunteering
Ping Pong Parkinson (PPP, www.pingpongparkinson.org/) opened a new chapter in Princeton, New Jersey this fall, to improve Parkinson’s symptoms and help build better lives for Parkinson patients in the entire Princeton community through ping pong (aka table tennis). Ping Pong coaching support is provided by the volunteer team at Jubilant Alliance (jubilantalliance.wordpress.com/), which is committed to promoting cognitive health by Ping Pong. The weekly Ping Pong Parkinson sessions are held at the Center for Modern Aging Princeton (CMAP), across the street from Princeton University, on Wednesdays from 4:00-5:30 pm. Volunteer opportunities are available for students who want to gain valuable clinical experience working with patients while giving back to the local community. We are currently looking for coaches to lead sessions, volunteers to assist and play with patients, and media coordinators to manage the Jubilant Alliance website and promote sessions. While ping pong experience is preferred for coaches, people of all experience levels are welcome for all roles.
