Historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States that were established before the Civil Rights Act of 1964 with the intention of primarily serving African Americans. Meharry Medical College is one of the nation's oldest and largest historically black academic health science centers, founded in 1876. The Mount Sinai Faculty Exchange Program was created to strengthen the connections between HBCUs and Mount Sinai.

You are invited to the Game Plan Series, an informal discussion Zoom session sponsored by the ISMMS Dean’s Office under the SWAG Initiative. The SWAG Initiative launched in June of 2019, and the Game Plan series launched in the academic year of 2019-20. The Game Plan series allows students, parents, teachers, coaches, staff, colleagues, schools, colleges, universities, and institutions to hear from former collegiate and professional athletes discuss their life’s journey from childhood to adulthood, around school, sports, and career decisions.
