Dr. Robert Kahn, who joined us this week for “The Doctor Is In”, noted that there are 2 Princeton Rise onsite summer internships focused on child health equity available at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  The ideal RISE Fellow would be a student who is interested in learning about how social determinants, such as structural racism, poverty, economic inequity, and transportation, impact family well-being and ultimately child health. Students from identities that are marginalized are encouraged to apply. We anticipate that the RISE Fellow will participate in a myriad of activities and that their experiences will offer broad exposure to child health equity work. The RISE Fellow will have a primary project with the Cincinnati Child Health-Law Partnership (Child HeLP) – a partnership between our primary care clinical sites and the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati. Each year, hundreds of families are referred to Child HeLP for legal services, such as housing or educational issues.
