What Do We Know About Adolescent Suicide? Developmentally- and Ecologically- Informed Suicidology for the Young People in Our Lives

Upon completion of this session, the participant shall be able to:
- Discuss the evidence (and lack of evidence) of suicide prevention strategies at the community and school levels designed to address these rising trends in adolescent suicide.
- Describe how Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory and developmental science might be applied to address youth suicide prevention.
- Articulate the key components of effective school-based youth suicide prevention and understand the details of a particularly innovative program called Directing Change.
