On January 26th 2022 at 7:00pm hear from Health Professions Scholarship Program recipients and how the program help shape their military careers. Our panel will consist of Colonel Vincent Mase CardioThoracic Surgeon, Colonel (Ret) Catherine Takacs Witkop, Associate Dean for Medical Education and Professor, Preventive Medicine and Gynecologic Surgery & Obstetrics.

Also attending will be Lieutenant Colonel Crystal Cruz, currently stationed in San Antonio Texas, who did a GI Fellowship at UPENN, and Mr. David Dormann our Education Services Specialist from the 1st U.S. Army Medical Recruiting Battalion.

The F. Edward Herbert Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) offers one of the most generous and comprehensive scholarships in the health care field. If you are looking at attending Medical School, or Dental School, the time is now to apply!

WHAT DOES THE ARMY PAY FOR?

Tuition: You select the school, obtain acceptance, and apply for the scholarship. If selected, 100% tuition is paid to any accredited medical school in the United States or P. R.

Books/Fees/Reimbursable: The Army will pay for required books, rental of non-expendable equipment, and most academic fees.

Monthly Stipend: A generous monthly stipend of $2540.00 will be provided for the ten and one-half months of each school year.

Army Officer Pay: For the remaining six weeks of the school year, you will receive full pay and allowances offered to a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve (over $5,000).
