Military Medicine: the Good, the Bad, the Austere | Wintersession

Are you interested in pursuing a career in medicine? Curious about military medicine? Come listen to veteran Luke Hixson '25 as he shares his experience as a Navy Hospital Corpsman attached to a Marine Corps infantry unit. Learn about Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and be prepared to gain hands-on experience with combat tourniquets, intravenous lines, and suturing. Bring your energy and motivation to this Wintersession workshop and plan to be immersed in the life of battlefield medicine!

Meet the facilitator:
Luke Hixson '25 is a Navy veteran and served 5 years as a Hospital Corpsman attached to a Marine Corps infantry unit. During his time with the infantry, Luke gained real-world experience in trauma medicine, field medicine, and phlebotomy. At Princeton, Luke is currently pursuing his A.B. in Neuroscience on a pre-med track and afterward, plans on attending medical school.
