The Office of Health Professions Advising (HPA) seeks a Communications/Office Assistant. The Office Assistant will be expected to work four to six hours per week, with some flexibility based on academic requirements. The Office Assistant will meet weekly with the HPA Administrative Assistant to discuss upcoming responsibilities and create a plan to execute work that may include remote and in-person time. The majority of the Office Assistant’s time will be spent maintaining HPA’s publications and social media presence, which includes creating and posting publicity online for upcoming events, curating content for Facebook/Instagram, and compiling information to share via the weekly Vitals newsletter. The Office Assistant will also support projects including data entry, attending and taking notes at events, and updating the local physician shadowing list. The ideal candidate will be reliable, creative, and able to work toward deadlines. Interest in health professions is a plus, but not required. Must be proficient with Google and Microsoft products; Facebook; Instagram; must also be eligible for Federal Work-Study.
