The BroadStreet Institute is a remote, global team of 200 volunteers from around the world gathering community-level data on topics of the day including COVID. We are looking for about 25 intern volunteers to join our team. No data experience needed.
About us
We are looking for volunteers who are interested in data for the public good. A love of data is required. Honestly, if you don’t like spreadsheets, this probably is not the internship for you.
Logistics
This is an 10-week, unpaid volunteer internship.
Estimated time commitment is 5 to 10-hours per week (Total hours = 50 to 100).
We recruit 5 times a year with new cohorts starting the first week of the month.
Learning Objectives
- Gain knowledge about public health surveillance systems in the United States
- Experience a remote, global work environment and develop communication skills unique to the future job market
- Participate in the building of new projects, teams and systems. We offer additional, optional opportunities offered in the field of data visualization, leadership, research.
