Event Description

Aspiring Docs is a conversation group for students who are the first in their families to pursue a career in the health professions. This week, Chat with our Aspiring Docs alum, Danielle! Danielle Newton '20 is a current second-year medical student at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is from Chicago and Colorado, and spent one year working in Dallas after graduation, before moving to LA for medical school! Danielle comes from a low-income background, is a QuestBridge scholar, and is the first in her family to go into medicine. Outside of school, Danielle enjoys all things outdoors: hiking, running, climbing, swimming at the beach, as well as competing in Irish dance. She is currently interested in emergency medicine, with an emphasis on social and advocacy work, and mental health care.

Additional dates to be announced.
