The Integrative Medicine Service (IMS) at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center conducts research to inform evidence-based practice of complementary therapies, such as yoga, acupuncture, or meditation, for people with cancer.
Our research team focuses on patient-oriented clinical studies in symptom control after cancer. Our current clinical trials include the following: 1) a comparative effectiveness trial of acupuncture for chronic musculoskeletal pain in cancer survivors, 2) acupuncture for persistent chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN), and 3) yoga for CIPN.
We are looking for a motivated, intelligent, and hardworking research study assistant (RSA) to join our service. The RSAs are primarily responsible for recruiting patients, consenting and enrolling patients into our trials, and guiding enrolled patients throughout their research experience. Therefore, excellent verbal and written communication are required. The RSAs will also perform data collection and entry, generate reports, and assist in data analysis.
