Research: My independent work is centered around the experiences of families in pediatric hospitals as influenced by their interactions with chaplains, physicians, and imaginative and religious spaces. For my junior paper, I visited and focused on Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London, and for my senior thesis I will be focusing on Brenner Children's Hospital in my hometown of Winston-Salem.
Summer Activities: Summer class at WSSU; Dale Summer Award to film an amateur documentary about the lives of six families with children with developmental disabilities (including mine) in the US and Peru; shadowing physicians and caregiving for my brother
