What topics are you excited to talk about?
Getting research experience: Working in lab for research can sound a bit daunting but approach professors with the curiosity and interest you already have and don’t be afraid to ask questions. Most professors are willing to take in a undergrad to teach them and get involved in research.
Finding clinical experience: During break clinical opportunities near home by shadowing medical professionals you know or alumni is a great way to have a glimpse into the medical world.
Creating your own path: Remember being premed is marathon not a sprint so your premed journey may be different than your peers.
Summer 2024 planned activities: Thesis Research in the Intelligence Performance and Adaptation Lab and Pharmacy Technician
Last book you read for fun: The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan, revisiting a childhood favorite if mine from the Percy Jackson series
Favorite food: Jollof Rice with Ghanaian Pepper Sauce
Favorite way to relieve stress: Playing pool with friends or going for walk while listening to a podcast
