Dr. Joseph Perno was born and raised in Trenton, NJ, and he was the first in his family to attend college and medical school. He graduated with Honors from Villanova University with a double major in chemistry and general science. He pursued research at Princeton during his junior and senior years, then came to Princeton as a Garden State Scholar and completed a PhD in Physical Chemistry. After graduate school, he earned his MD from Duke University School of Medicine in three years as the Joseph Barham Scholar.
Dr. Perno is a board certified radiologist who has worked in diverse settings including private practice, teaching/training medical students and residents, and industry. He lives in Hamilton, NJ with his wife Laura, daughter Anna and poodle Darla. He is happy to meet with aspiring physicians to share his knowledge and experience about the medical profession.
